Dr. Alina Shahid

Dr. Alina Shahid brings a thorough, patient-centred approach to eye care, with experience in ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, and dry eye disease. She is passionate about helping patients understand their eye health clearly and building trusting relationships through attentive, comprehensive care.

She completed her Bachelor of Science at McMaster University, majoring in Molecular Biology and Genetics, before earning her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Her clinical interests include glaucoma treatment and management, myopia control, and refractive surgery co-management.

Dr. Shahid is licensed to practise optometry in both Canada and the United States, certified to prescribe Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents, and is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. She has also contributed to glaucoma research, presented at the American Academy of Optometry, and received honours during her clinical training.

Fluent in English and Urdu, Dr. Shahid is proud to care for a diverse patient community. Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling, reading, and photography.
